Instant vs. Delayed Gratification

We live in a world where we MUST see results NOW!

Online shopping and digital marketplaces make goods and products easier than ever to buy and receive at a rapid pace.

This is convenient when it comes to “things” that you wish to have, also known as “Instant Gratification” or in other words, seeing a result from an action right then and there.

Unfortunately when it comes to building REAL speed and strength, or seeing permanent weight loss, muscle gain, mobility/flexibility improvements, lifestyle changes, etc the same concept does NOT apply.

If you are serious about becoming the best athlete and person you can be, you must change your mindset to embrace the concept of “Delayed Gratification” knowing that the work you put in TODAY may not show up instantly, but you will understand and learn to appreciate that hard work put in over and over again, day in and day out, will eventually lead you to success.

The problem is most people quit when things get tough or they aren’t seeing results after 1 week of training.

Learn to appreciate the journey and know that in the end the hard work you put in NOW to achieve the goals you have in mind WILL come to fruition.

Remember this: All great empires were not built overnight – it will take time, effort, and sweat to get to the top!!
