Kekoa Wilson

Personal Trainer

My motivation to become a personal trainer comes from a desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives by helping them develop healthy habits.

1.) What inspired you to become a personal trainer?

My motivation to become a personal trainer comes from a desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives by helping them develop healthy habits. As a former athlete, I experienced how sports can shape a person’s character like discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. This fueled my passion to pursue personal training. I believe that fitness, is not only great for our physical health but also for building discipline and confidence through hard work and consistency. My goal is to help athletes and people on their fitness journeys, empowering them to achieve results and improve their overall well-being.

2.) How long have you been in the fitness industry?
4 Years as of 2025

3.) What certifications, degrees, or qualifications do you hold?

4.) What is your fitness philosophy or approach to training clients?
My philosophy is that fitness builds both physical health and personal growth. As a former athlete, I value discipline, perseverance, and confidence, and I strive to help others achieve their goals through consistent, healthy habits.

5.) Can you share a memorable success story from your time as a trainer?
My client was struggling with getting himself in the gym, so what we did through collaboration and hard work was rebuild his schedule for every week. Instead of being unorganized and coming in whenever he had time, we worked together to figure out how we can instill the gym into his everyday routine which is something that seems incredibly easy but it super difficult due to other priorities that we have in life.

6.) What types of training or fitness modalities do you specialize in?
Athlete training

Weight loss/gain

Nutrition

7.) What is one positive thing clients should expect when they are working with you?
One positive thing clients should expect from me is someone who cares about what it going on with them outside the gym. I feel like it’s super important to always get to know your client inside and outside of the gym.

8.) How do you tailor training programs to meet the individual needs of clients in both a 1 on 1 and group setting?
Always keep my clients goals in mind and remember that they are here for support no matter if it’s 1 on 1 or in a group setting.

9.) How do you stay motivated/disciplined and continue your own fitness journey?
I stay motivated by always telling myself that if I take care of my body now, it will take care of me later.

10.) What advice do you give to those who are just starting their fitness journey?
Stay patient and don’t let motivation fuel you!

11.) What activities or hobbies do you enjoy doing outside of training?
Golf, football, basketball, and playing any sport with my son.

12.) What is your favorite workout or exercise, and why do you love it?
Overhead Press is my favorite exercise because the whole exercise is incredibly difficult. I love it because it hits shoulders and forces you to brace your core.
